In a showing for his movie “Runaway”, Kanye West admitted to the people that there was a time when he considered suicide. The 33 year old rapper felt that everything was being taken away from him when he lost her mother, Donda West together with 3 individuals who have been like parents to him in the last 3 years.
“Everything has been taken away from me,” the rapper confessed. ”I’m so not…scared. I so don’t care.”
But things are different nowadays for the self-proclaimed “soldier of culture” and an icon of pop. He vowed never to give up ever again. He admitted that it’s been a hard year for him but he’s now looking at life like a 5 year old and that helped him get the creative juices flowing. He also took a long break for 6 months after the Taylor Swift incident.
While he never said when was the time he contemplated on killing himself, he gave hints about the subject in the song “Power” with the lines “Now this would be a beautiful death – I’m jumping out the window, I’m letting everything go.”
West is now a director with a 35 minute short film under his belt. In the film, 9 new songs are featured. The film is expected to be released this upcoming weekend on BET, MTV and VH1.
